Regular gifts allow us to plan and budget ahead of time so that we can help the most amount of people in the most effective ways.
Over the past 12 months Architects Benevolent Society has seen a drastic increase in the demand for support services due to the coronavirus pandemic. Many members of the architectural profession are facing redundancy, mental ill health, financial strain and are turning to ABS for support. ABS is grateful for every donation you have given, however we are appealing for your urgent support to give regularly or to increase your regular giving if you are able to.
Whether it be a series of counselling sessions, guidance finding employment, specialist medical equipment, advice regarding your rent/ mortgage or even a one-off grant to replace your washing machine. These are situations that any of us could find ourselves in and it is reassuring to know that the Society is here to provide that support when you need it most.
ABS aim to be a foundation of support to architects, landscape architects, architectural technologists, students and their families and we rely on people giving regularly by direct debit to do this. Now more than ever we need your support.
“With nowhere to go I called ABS who were friendly and understood my situation. They provided me with professional advice and immediate support. They further reassured me and got me a therapist with whom I could work on my mental health. The help was also financial and meant I did not go into debt. I can definitely say that if it wasn’t for them, it would have taken me a lot longer to get back on my feet. I have now secured employment and would recommend their service to anyone in a similar situation.” Nadia*
