We are recruiting new trustees to join Architects Benevolent Society (ABS). As a trustee, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our charity, helping us continue to provide crucial support to the architectural community and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and ensure we meet our charitable objectives
- Work collaboratively trustees and staff to ensure resources are managed effectively and support is adequately resourced
- Ensure ABS is well-run and operates in the best interests of our beneficiaries
Who We’re Looking For
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive Board. We welcome applications from all backgrounds, particularly from those underrepresented in the sector.
Requirements
We’re looking for individuals who are aligned to the charity’s purpose and values, and who have strategic vision and an understanding of charity governance.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, while constructively challenging when necessary.
In addition to strong governance skills, we are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Finance
- Technology
- Brand, marketing, or income generation
This is a voluntary role, but expenses such as travel and childcare will be reimbursed.
