As we reach the end of another challenging year most of us are looking to make up for the time missed with our families and celebrate together this Christmas. But there are many parents and children in our community who are struggling; as a result of the pandemic, the Universal Credit crisis or just circumstances out of their control. No one should have to choose between food or heat and every person should have the opportunity to overcome life’s challenges.
Below, you can read the story of the Miller family* who reached out to us after Paul*, a father of two children, was made redundant. He found it difficult to cope with unemployment which resulted in a decline in his mental health and eventually debt. At the same time Paul was going through this, his wife Camila* had an accident which left her unable to work.
ABS was here to offer the family financial assistance and support but most importantly hope. It can be difficult to reach out and ask for help, but ABS are here for the architectural community and approach each individual with compassion and care.
The support ABS could provide means that Paul is now looking to a future with the knowledge that his family are supported and the motivation to continue to move forward with his work.
We can only do this with your help. Please consider setting up a regular donation if you haven’t already, or make a single gift this Christmas so we can continue to be here for people like the Miller family.
Thank you very much for your kindness. Your support is invaluable to the architectural community and we wish you a warm and joyous Christmas with best wishes for 2022.
Please give just £10 this Christmas to help us support families within the architectural community
