We’re thrilled to welcome Katie Fisher to the Board of Trustees at the Architects Benevolent Society.
Katie is the founder of CARD (Collaboration, Agency, Research, Design) Projects, a practice dedicated to inclusive, community-focused design. She was recently recognised as a 2024 RIBA Rising Star for her work promoting equity and representation across the built environment.
Katie brings a wealth of experience in advocacy, education, and mentorship. She currently serves on the RIBA National Council, where she is part of the Education Committee and co-chairs the Finding and Accessing Architecture Expert Advisory Group. She also teaches architecture at Ravensbourne University, where she is leading an affordable summer school to open up live design and build opportunities to more students.
A long-time supporter of ABS, Katie has volunteered as an Ambassador since 2021, joined our Engagement and Development Committee in 2023, and now steps into her role as Trustee in 2025.
Katie is also a founding member of Professional Architect Mentors (PAM) and has mentored young creatives across programmes with the Design Museum, Built By Us, Open City Accelerate, and the Social Mobility Foundation.
Her passion for mental health, wellbeing, and improving access to the profession makes her a powerful advocate for the architectural community—and a fantastic addition to our Board.
