Types of Gifts in Wills

There are different types of gifts that can be left in your will to help us with our valuable work.

You can choose the most appropriate way for you to make a lasting difference to other people’s lives, while still ensuring that your closest loved ones are taken care of first.

o Some or all of your estate (after debts, funeral costs and other gifts are paid), known as a residuary gift

o A specific sum of money, known as a pecuniary gift

o A specific item of value, known as a specific gift

o A gift when a trust ends, so that someone can benefit from money or property during their lifetime. On their death, the remaining money or property is left to the charity. This is known as a reversionary gift.
